One of Central Florida most respected Facial Plastic Surgeons; Dr. Danny Soares is a fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty and the treatment of the aging face. Dr. Soares received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut in 2008 and subsequently completed a residency in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at Wayne State University. Dr. Soares then completed a facial cosmetic & reconstructive surgical fellowship, awarded by the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), at Emory University. He has lectured at national meetings, written several book chapters, and published numerous original studies in the fields of cosmetic and therapeutic head & neck surgery. Besides medicine, Dr. Soares enjoys a variety of artistic endeavors, such as drawing, painting, photography, and musical composition.

Lower blepharoplasty is performed through the inside of the lower eyelid. This is referred to as trans-conjunctival. In order to reduce “baggy” lower eyelids, it is generally necessary to reduce the amount of fat that makes up the natural fat pads under our eyes. If there is an issue with excess skin in the lower eyelids, a small segment may be removed with an incision that is made just below the lower eyelashes, again virtually invisible and hidden by the lower eyelashes.
